Wow… totally failed at that post a month thing. You’d think with it being Winter I’d have plenty of time to write a new entry. I probably do have the time, it’s remembering to post something on here that’s the trick. So the biggest news is that Heather has graduated law school and is now a J.D.!!! I’m crazy proud of her and one lucky man. She’s about a month into studying for the bar exam which is next month. I think she’s doing really well, I’m just trying to keep her from burning herself out. We have a trip booked to celebrate the graduation and our five year wedding anniversary. I’ve successfully convinced her that being married to me is a “good idea”! She bought it hook line and sinker! I’m hoping she’s to busy studying to read this post.
We celebrated the New Year with friends at the house throwing a pajama party which was a lot of fun. I’ve now begun the countdown to Summer and warmer months. It has been a pretty mild winter, but it’s still cold out and I’m not a fan of that crap. This will be the first Summer with the boat that Heather won’t have to worry about Summer school which is pretty darn exciting to me. I can only imagine how much more relaxing it will be for her.
Alright.. this was quick, but still an update. Until I remember to post again

I’m going to challenge myself to post up something once a month. I’m even going to add it to my calendar as a reminder! I added some new photos from the blizzard we had here in February 2011 as well as some new shots of our landscaping project. We’ve successfully spent the entire Summer on the lake again! It’s such a relaxing feeling to leave town and drop the boat in the water. The Summer’s never seem long enough and the Winter’s (which is coming, btw. Love that show) never seem to get longer.
Heather has officially started her final year of law school! And with no break she’ll go from graduation right into bar prep classes to prepare for the February bar exam. I’m pretty proud of her. She’s worked the entire time during law school and for a majority of it full time. I know she’s hated the decision at times but I’m so happy she stuck it out.
I ran in the Warrior Dash last weekend which was a total blast! It was a 5K obstacle course and so much more fun than your typical road race. I’ll be signing up for it again next year and I think I’m going to talk Heather into doing it with me.
Well this post is going to be a short one… it’s late and I’m tired. Stay tuned you’re no more than 30 days away from another exciting update!

Awww, Summer is just around the corner which means Heather is busy with Law School Finals and I’m busy trying to stay out of her way and be as quiet as a mouse. It also means lake season is almost here! Our favorite lake, Tenkiller, is currently closed due to the ridiculous amount of rain we have had over the last week. It should be opened up again in a week or two as long as Mother Nature doesn’t send any more rain our way.
Heather wanted us to put in some landscaping in the front of the house before Summer got here and we were busy playing with the boat. We’ve just about knocked it all out with just a few plants left to drop in the ground and then spread a little mulch. It’s much improved over no landscaping and a lot better than the three shrubs that were in front of the house when we moved in a few years ago. I promise I’ll post photos of the before and after so everybody can Ooooo and Aaaaah at our hard work.
We hope all of our blog followers are doing well and looking forward to Summer as much as us!!

Chill’n at Dirtys for Navy Davys 40th birthday. Pictures to follow.
It’s now 2010, and yes that’s pronounced twenty-ten, and Heather is still busy with school and I have been busy with honey-dos. Heather is now in her fourth semester of law school and she seems really excited about her Criminal Law class. I am however counting down the days until Summer.
With the help of my little brother David we installed a new porcelain floor in our kitchen, pantry, utility and entry way over the Christmas break. I was a little nervous about doing it ourselves but after finishing I’m happy we did. I’ll post up some pictures for everybody shortly. I’m still working on finishing out all of the trim. We are replacing the wood trim with the standard white trim to match the rest of the house.
We also survived The Blizzard of 2009 as everybody seems to be calling it. It also gave us a white Christmas which is a pretty big rarity (thankfully). The storm hit on Christmas Eve and left well over a foot of snow in some areas of the yard. It was a blast to watch the dogs run around and play in it. Bella looked like she had a bad case of dandruff and Snickers had to jump to move around because the snow came all the way up to her chest.
The week after Christmas we took off for Dallas to watch the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Cotton Bowl. We showed up on Friday and had dinner with Heather’s Dad and Nancy at Boston’s. The next day we attended the OrangePower.com tailgate party to prep for the game. About 30 minutes before we headed in to the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington and it was AMAZING! Seeing pictures and video of the new stadium doesn’t do it justice. The jumbotrons are huge and crystal clear. Did I mention they are HUGE! That’s about where the fun ended for the trip since our offense couldn’t figure out how to score touchdowns. Even though we lost the game it was a great weekend and our first bowl game experience.
We also purchased a new camera with the holiday specials. We (I) picked up a Canon EOS Rebel T1i which I’ve loved playing with and learning more about photography. Hopefully with the new camera we’ll be able to post up more pictures on this here bloggy majig.
We hope everybody is staying warm and had a great holidays. We wish you the best in Twenty-Ten.
